  • What is a Referral link?
    A Referral link is required to join the Bubstreet Community and becoming a member of our App. We do this to protect the integrity of our App and to maintain a safe community for our fellow Parents to connect with to help find friends for their children. We ask that every member of the app only invite friends that they have personally met and feel would be a great addition to our Community. If you don't know anyone yet in Singapore since you just moved here and want to join the App, please email us at We'll then get in touch to verify your identity and to ensure you are a Parent that has a child. Or better yet, come see us at one of our community events! We'll be so happy to meet you and share a referral link with you in person.
  • How do I invite a friend to the App?
    You can do so by accessing your Profile tab by hitting the person icon at the bottom navigation bar. Toggle over to the "Refer Friends" tab (make sure that gets highlighted in pink), and either copy the referral link and send it to your friend or simply hit 'Invite Friends" button and select which app you want to use to send the referral link & message to. Note that you can only invite 20 friends. This is to restrict and protect the Community to only people that you know and we are not allowing community users to mass-invite and post this link on social media. Please ensure that you are only inviting people that you have personally met before and know are good members to add to our Community. Note that if we detect any bad behavior from any of your invited friends, we have the right to ban you from our Community/App as well.
  • How do I get matched or find a new playmate/friend?
    We will show our most recommended "matches" for you on your default home search screen for Bubs. They are sorted in the order of proximity to you. You can further refine that search by filtering by age, gender, interests, etc . You can also search for certain keywords in their Bio introduction
  • How do I message them?
    Once you find a Bub that you're potentially interested to connect with your Bubs, click into their profile. Once you click into their profile, at the very top of their profile page on right hand corner, you will find the 'Say Hi' button. Click that button to be navigated to the message window to start chatting with them!
  • How come the person I sent a message to hasn't responded?
    We're sorry to hear that! It could be that they are no longer active on our App or they are simply busy chasing after their Bub! You can check if the parent for the Bub has been active on the App or not recently by clicking into that Bub's profile. It will show the last active time right below their profile picture. If they are active and haven't responded yet, maybe they missed your message if they receive many. You can perhaps bump yourself up in their inbox by sending another message or just give it a few days!
  • I feel weird meeting a stranger, how do I arrange the first meeting without it being awkward?
    Well, everyone in your life outside of your family was a stranger once! Don't feel weird about asking to meet up, that's your first step in making a new friend! We highly recommend meeting a new person on the App in a public and safe place first. Once you're comfortable, then maybe you move on to house playdates!
  • Where can I check my messages?
    There is a bottom navigation bar on our App. If you click on the icon with the two chat bubbles, it will take you to your inbox. We will send notifications when there are new messages but you can always change those settings on your phone.
  • Once I find someone, how do I invite them to a meet up?
    On the home button (bottom navigation home icon), you will always find a "+" sign at the top right corner of the App. Once you click on that button you can quickly add an 'activity listing' or a '1on1 playdate'. To arrange a playdate with your friend, simply click the + icon and select 1-on-1 playdate. This playdate is private to just you and the individual you invite! The title will be auto populated based on the 2 bubs going to the playdate but you can always overwrite it if you'd like. Choose the time, duration and place and send the invite to your friend to accept or make suggestions to edit!
  • How do I join an activity?
    First, find an activity that you like from browsing through the Activities page. You can go to the Activities page by clicking on the "Home" Icon and then toggling at the top to highlight the 'Activities' to pink. You can sort by the activity nearest to your home postcode that you registered in your profile or you can sort by the newest activity listed by another parent. And of course you can filter by other criteria as well as search for an activity on the map. Once you find an activity that you may be interested in, click on the activity to see more details. Once you read the details, you can click the button at the bottom if the activity is still open for RSVP and has openings. Once you request to join, you will be asked to fill in which Bub you are bringing (if you have more than one child), who is bringing the Bub (note that only guardians that can bring the Bub is what the host has specified as guardians that can attend. For example, if the host wants to just meet other Moms and selected Moms as the guardian that should attend, you will not be able to select your Helper to attend instead), and if you are bringing any guests. You can also drop a message to the host to get them to know you better before the activity or if you have any specific questions. Once you're registered for the activity, your automatically confirmed! You can access your Calendar Tab to download the calendar to your mobile calendar if you want to sync with your calendar there!
  • How can I list/host an activity?
    On the home button (bottom navigation "Home" icon), you will always find a "+" sign at the top right corner of the app. Once you click on that button you can quickly add an activity listing or a 1on1 playdate. To host an activity and crowdsource other Bubs on the App to join you, simply click on "Activity" after you click on the "+" icon. Unlike the playdates that are private to you and the other Bub that you are planning the playdate with, Activities are public and visible to everyone on the App. Choose which one of your Bubs is hosting the activity (if you have more than one Bub!), select the Activity Tag that best describes what activity category it falls under, enter an Activity Name that best suits the activity, enter a Brief Description of the activity to let people know what you will be doing (Optional), set which guardians are allowed to accompany the Bub for this activity (i.e. If you're a Dad and just want to meet other Dads, maybe you only select Dad), Target Age range (should auto default based on your selected Bubs that is hosting, but you can always edit it), Capacity (Set a limit of Bubs you want the activity to have, the activity sign-up will auto-close when the capacity is reached), set the time/duration/place and then you're done! You can preview the Activity Listing at the end to see what it would look like and once you hit "Publish", it will appear in the 'Activity Search' Home Screen.
  • How can I change my RSVP/Response on an Activity I've signed up for?
    Go to your Calendar. You can access that by hitting the calendar icon at the bottom navigation. Once you are in your calendar, make sure you are in the "Attending" tab (make sure Attending is highlighted in pink), find the activity that you want to change your rsvp for. Click into the activity screen and edit your RSVP. Note that you can only change your RSVP 2hrs before the activity since no one really wants any last minute cancellations (don't be rude!)
  • How can I edit details of my activity I'm hosting?
    Go to your Calendar. You can access that by hitting the calendar icon at the bottom navigation. Once you are in your calendar, make sure you are in the "Hosting" tab (make sure Hosting is highlighted in pink), find the activity that you want to change details for. Click into the activity screen and edit the details of the activity. You can send a mass-message to all the confirmed Attendees to give them some background on why and what you changed to be courteous!
  • Why can't I change my RSVP anymore?
    You cannot change your RSVP anymore after surpassing 2hours before the activity/playdate. When we have Bubs we get that things can come up, but please have manners and make sure you communicate any last minute RSVP changes by sending the host a message!
  • How can I cancel/delete the activity?
    Go to your Calendar. You can access that by hitting the calendar icon at the bottom navigation. Once you are in your calendar, make sure you are in the "Hosting" tab (make sure Hosting is highlighted in pink), find the activity that you want to cancel/delete. Click into the activity screen and click on the button 'Cancel/Delete'. This will allow you to cancel/delete the event if it is still within 6hrs of the actual activity. As best practices, for activities please send a mass-message to all the confirmed Attendees to give them some background on why you had to cancel/delete the activity. Note that it is always better to reschedule or change the activity date rather than cancel/delete entirely since people could have been looking forward to the activity! So any cancellations are not permitted via the app 6hrs prior to the activity and we ask that you reschedule it to a future date.
  • What is an activity?
    An activity is when you want to plan group outings with the community or if you want to find someone in the community to do something with you and/or with your Bubs! Maybe you want to take your Bub to the zoo but your Bub is not a talker yet so you're looking for a companion to do that with you. List the activity on the community and see if other Bubs/Guardians are interested to join you! Note that activities are currently all public to the community and you can't restrict who you want to invite yet. If you would like this feature added in the future, please access our website and give us the feedback so we know what to prfioritize for the next enhancement of the App.
  • What is a playdate?
    A playdate is a private listing between you and another Bub/Guardian. It won't show in the Activities search screen since it is just planning a meet-up between two people that have connected via our App and only show up on your Calendar.
  • Can I restrict who I invite to an activity?
    Unfortunately, not yet. Activities are currently all public to the Bubstreet Community (Users on our App) and you can't restrict who you want to invite yet. If you would like this feature added in the future, please access our website and give us the feedback so we know what to prfioritize for the next enhancement of the App.
  • Can I set up group playdates?
    Unfortunately, not yet. Playdates are currently at a 1-on-1 level and you can't invite more than 1 more bub to attend it yet.   • Can I make an activity recurring?
    Unfortunately, not yet. We can see how it can become handy to set up recurring neighbourhood playdates but we don't have this feature set up yet. Recurring can be a bit tricky since sometimes people forget to delete or edit it. For now, we don't have this ability but if you would like this feature added in the future, please access our website and give us the feedback so we know what to prfioritize for the next enhancement of the App.
  • I've moved, how do I update my postcode?
    Congratulations on moving, that can always be stressful! Updating your postcode on our App is stress free. Simply go to the profile page by clicking on the Person Icon on the bottom navigation. Make sure the "Parents" are highlighted in pink as that is where you can find the Postcode field. Once you are there and find that field, click into the text to delete your old postcode, and update it with your new postcode. Remember to hit SAVE button once you're done.
  • I've moved out of Singapore, how do I deactivate or delete my profile?
    Sad to see you go and hope you settle down in your new location! You can deactivate the profile by going to the Profile page. Click on the Person Icon on the bottom navigation to access the Profile page. You can then toggle to "Bubs Profile" (make sure that's highlighted in pink) and then next to your Bub's Name you will see the 'deactivate' button. We did this just in case you want to deactivate one child specifically or all children. You can always activate again, if you're ever back in our City! You also have the choice of deleting your profile entirely. Note that this is not reversible and once it is done, you cannot activate again. To do so, go to the Profile page and stay on "Parent Profile" and hit the "Delete Profile" text. This will prompt you to enter your password for the App again to permanently delete your Profile for all your Bubs.
  • How can I update my profile?
    Go to the profile page by clicking on the Person Icon on the bottom navigation. There are 2 main tabs on the Profile page. One is the "Parents Profile" tab where you can update your name as the Guardian, edit which Guardians will generally be available to bring your Bubs to playdates/activities, which region you will be willing to travel to for playdates, and finally you can update your postcode. Postcodes are not visible to other members and we help to derive general region that you live in (i.e. Tanglin) through your postcode so other members can get an idea of which region you reside in. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details. For the "Bubs Profile", this is where you can edit the details for your Bubs. Add a picture here for your Bub after your initial sign-up! You can also choose to add more children if you have more than one too.
  • How do I add a picture?
    You can add a picture by accessing the profile page by clicking on the Person Icon on the bottom navigation and toggling to the "Bubs Profile" tab (make sure Bubs is in pink). Click on your Bub and click edit picture. You can take a picture or upload a picture from your phone. Always better to have a picture of your Bub so that people can put a face to the name!
  • Why do I have to add a picture?
    During the initial sign up to the App, it's not mandatory to add a picture, but once you've signed up, we make it mandatory to add a picture. That's because we don't want blank gray circles next to your Bubs name when people search on the "Bubs" tab to find a friend. Adding a picture would put a face to the name and let other people want to connect with you more. If you are shy or not comfortable to put your Bub's face, maybe a silhouette picture or a picture of their favorite character will do. Anything that can help people get to know your Bub better, is the aim of the picture!
  • What is the Privacy Policy?
    Our privacy policy explains how information is collected, used and disclosed by BubStreet Pty Ltd with respect to your access and use of BubStreet services, whether through our website (located at, BubStreet mobile application or in connection with social networking services (referred to below as “BubStreet”).
  • What information do you collect?
    We collect certain information you provide to us when using BubStreet, such as when you create an account and profile, send us an email or post information or other content to BubStreet. We collect certain personal information, like your name, picture, email address and phone number, as well as certain non-identifying information, like your gender, birthday and postcode. We will also collect the contact information of your friends, if you choose to connect your contacts and address book information with BubStreet and your login credentials to your social network accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google, if you choose to connect those accounts with your BubStreet account.   We also automatically collect certain information when you use BubStreet, such as a device identifier (but not the UDID), MAC address, Internet Protocol (IP) address (if using a browser), operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring site and your activity on BubStreet. We do NOT collect your GPS location/coordinates without your permission.   We may also automatically collect certain information through the use of “cookies”. These are small files that your browser places on your computer. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our services, and to improve our services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit.
  • How do you use the information you collect?
    We use the information collected through BubStreet for the purposes described below: To provide our services or information you request, and to process and complete any transactions; To respond to your emails, submissions, questions, comments, requests, and complaints and provide customer service; To monitor and analyse usage and trends, and to personalise and improve BubStreet and your experiences when you use BubStreet, such as providing content or features that match your profile or interests (including ads), and to increase the functionality and user friendliness of our services; To send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages and otherwise facilitate your use of, and our administration and operation of, our services; To find and connect with your friends (when instructed by you); To let your friends know about your updates on BubStreet; For any other purpose for which the information was collected.
  • What information is shared with Third Parties?
    We will not share the personal information we have collected from you, except as described below: With your friends on BubStreet with whom you want to share your updates on BubStreet, and according to the preferences set in your account; With certain social networking services, if you allow such sharing through our services; With service providers who are working with us in connection with the operation of our site or our services (these service providers have access to your personal information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose it or use it for any other purposes); We may share aggregated information and non-identifiable information with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other similar purposes; When you give us your consent to do so, including if we notify you that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information; When we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorised or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes or respond to lawful requests or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants or court orders; To enforce or apply our privacy policy, our terms of use or our other policies or agreements; and in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition, or in any other situation where personal information may be disclosed or transferred as one of our business assets.
  • Does this apply to links to other sites?
    BubStreet may contain links to other sites. Any information you provide on those sites is provided directly to the owner of that site and is subject to that party’s privacy policy. Our privacy policy does not apply to such sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of those sites.
  • What steps do you take to protect the information?
    We take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Please be aware, however, that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
  • How to access & modify my information?
    If you have an account, you can access and modify the personal information you provided us that is associated with your account. You may “opt out” of receiving marketing or promotional emails from us by changing your account preferences or by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out of these messages, you will still receive emails from us, about your account, our services and other pertinent information related to our services. These communications are considered part of the service and your account, which you cannot opt-out from receiving.
  • Does this apply to me if I am an International User (Not in Singapore)?
    If you are located outside Singapore and choose to provide information to us, we may transfer your information to Singapore and process it there (or any other country where we operate). By using BubStreet, you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of your information as described in this privacy policy.
  • How do I delete my account permanently from all server?
    If you want to delete your account, please contact us and indicate the account’s email address. All data of the account will be completely removed from the server. Please note that this is an irreversible action and you are not able to access the account again. Therefore, please consider carefully before making the decision.
  • What are cookies?
